A birthday party has exactly two failure modes. Not enough to do, and nobody can hear each other. Everything else is detail.
We solve the first one with an arcade in the building. The second one you solve by picking the right space, which is the part most people get wrong.
Pick the right space for your number
Semi private production area. Up to 50 guests, starts at $400 for 3 hours. You get the room among the tanks while the taproom stays open to the public. This is the right call for almost every birthday under 50 people. You get your own space without paying to close the building.
Whole facility buyout. Up to 225 guests, starts at $3,000 for 3 hours. 200 inside, 75 on the dog friendly patio. We close to the public. This is for a milestone where you are inviting everybody and you want the arcade, the patio and the taproom all to yourselves.
If you are at 55 people, do not jump to a buyout out of habit. Call us. There is usually a middle answer.
What it costs
30th birthday, 35 guests, semi private
- Rental: $400 for 3 hours
- 2 drink package billed on 75% of your count: 26 guests x $15 = $390
- About $790 before tax and gratuity, roughly $23 a head
- Want it open bar instead? $27 a guest, so 26 x $27 = $702, total about $1,100
Milestone birthday, 120 guests, buyout
- Buyout starts at $3,000, and adding a drink package can take as much as $1,000 off that rental
- 3 drink package: 90 guests x $22 = $1,980
- Outside caterer at $18 a head: about $2,160
- Roughly $6,100 all in, about $51 a head
Deposits are $100 semi private, $1,000 for a buyout. Cash, check or ACH adds nothing. Credit cards add 3% on the rental. Sales tax is 6% on drink packages. No cleaning fee, no booking fee, no drink minimum.
Entertainment is already handled
- The arcade. Pinball and arcade games in the building. Pinball is available as a paid add-on in blocks of games if you want it covered for your guests
- AV. Multiple displays for a photo slideshow, the game, or your own playlist
- Name a tap. We can rename one of our taps in the birthday person's honor for the night. For a 40th, it is the best twelve dollars of decor you will ever buy. Ask us for pricing
- Partners. Need a DJ, catering, or axe throwing? We have people
Kids birthdays
We are family friendly and we host kid parties. Kids are welcome and need to be supervised. The arcade does most of the entertainment work, which means you are not hiring a magician.
Bring your own cake and any licensed and insured caterer. Adults can have a beer. Guests must be 21 to drink, and serving anyone under 21 cancels the event on the spot. We are not flexible on that one.
Surprise parties
They work here. A few things that make them work better:
- Book the semi private space so the guest of honor can be walked past a normal-looking taproom on the way in
- Tell guests to arrive 30 minutes before the target, not 15. Somebody is always late
- Give us a heads up when you book. We will keep staff from saying "are you here for the party?" at the door
- Put one person in charge of the arrival text. Not the person driving the guest of honor
Food, decor, and the rules
- Bring any licensed and insured caterer, or bring food yourself. They handle plates, napkins, cutlery and food ice
- No outside alcohol. Ever
- Decorate with signs and balloons. No glitter or confetti, and it all comes down at the end of your time
- Bag your trash. We handle the rest
- Free onsite parking
How far ahead to book
As little as one week out if the space is open. For a Friday or Saturday night, or any buyout, give yourself a month or more. December books out first and fastest.
